As I got older, I realized that money conversations in the workplace breed bad feelings almost 100% of the time.
But your mileage may vary.
Yeah , how can you have "Income Inequality " when people can't see where the 'inequality ' occurs ?
The numbers will soar ! That is the purpose !
You can't have INCOME ENVY without knowing what somebody is paid , and that is the purpose .
(from the article):"Federal contractors, however, worry that additional compensation data could be used to fuel wage related lawsuits,
said James Plunkett, director of labor policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The above statement from the article will provide the data for the Fed to litigate/ sue the bussines , and small business community
by using their own data which they are now required to provide ! ... Brilliant !! The business community which has supported this administration will be shot in the foot by their own data, which they provide .
Niccoli Machiavelli immediately comes to mind !
I'm sure there's some convoluted reasoning involved ("it could sow dissent among employees" or some other nonsense), but is there actually a good reason? At my work (private, not a federal contractor), it's so that the new field techs don't know that a) they're being paid $13/hr, while the older fellows came in at $20/hr and b) that they're capped at $18/hr, while the older fellows have no wage cap. Can't let the newbies agitate for better pay.
