This morning, http://www.drudgereport.com/ would not "resolve"; that is, the request hunts and hunts for a full page load.
Now, www.breitbart.com won't load and http://www.wnd.com/ is loading slowly.
Yet, http://www.nytimes.com/ and other left wing sites load fine.
Hmmm.....
Same with Michael Savage’s page....which I think tends to link through WND
Servers do break.
Are you logged on?
I read in the last 24 hours that some web page or something or other was dropping WND because of excessive use of the phrase “black mobs.”
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the beginning of USA censorship.
This type of error typically means that the domain name server (dns) which translates the URL to an IP address cannot be reached or cannot match the URL you are entering. There are several possible solutions, usually trying a different browser, such as IE or Chrome, will sometimes help, or just enter the IP address in the address line.
The easiest way to determine the IP address for a site is to go to the cmd prompt (in your start menu) and type: ping www.drudgereport.com this returns the IP address (98.158.19.137)and stats on network speed, for me it was 45ms.
504 - Gateway Timeout - What I got trying to load Breitbart
Got a 404 the first time on Drudge, then it loaded the second time
Still can’t get Breitbart, same 504
CNS loading fine.
FR loading fine
Try accessing the sites through these search engines:
Same thing, 504 timeout
I am and I've had these same issues today. It's funny though, they always have you run a Speedtest.net test and those always shoot way off the charts. It is obvious they artificially juice up those specific server connections for show.
By the way, we just put in an order wih AT&T today for a special priced 18Mbps package ($39 w/basic TV and HBO).
We are through supporting MSNBC/Comcast/Universal.
I get Drudge just fine.
Unfortunately it features pics of Kerry and Chelsea Handler.
I’ve tried several browsers. Everything is fine for me, except for Breitbart. Keep getting a 504 gateway timeout
I’m getting the same issue with Breitbart, discovered via attempts to view the top 5 ways conservative speech has been suppressed on the internet.
Oh, the irony.
AT&T (U-verse) internet service is awesome! And very fast. The tech said it’s because I’m so close to the fiber junction at the end of the block.
Had comcast before this and it SUCKED. Fiber is just better than coaxial cable.
With comcast, it all went through coax. With U-verse, first it goes through the buried twisted pair, to the fiber box at the end of the block. Very happy with it. And over the yrs, it’s only gone out a couple times. And ATT credited for that down time. Plus they knocked off $70/mo when I called to ask how much for just internet and no cable.
