The Drudge Report is down this morning. I noticed this when I logged on to the web a couple of hours ago. I thought it would be back up within the hour but still down. Anyone out there have an explanation?
The last headline I saw had something to do with the stock market being down.
OK now I’m not even getting an initial page load.
This is new.
Maybe a reboot?
By The way, I’m here in the Kansas County of Johnson with U-Verse Internet. Both sites are dead.
Took 17 minutes but page finally loaded.
Could be a reboot. To have both sites down at once is pretty odd. Drudge gives me a blank page on QupZilla. Took a long time but Breitbart gave me an error: QupZilla can’t load page from www.breitbart.com. On Opera I got a 504 - Gateway Timeout on Drudge Report and Breitbart.
Well Drudge Report came back just as I was typing the other reply.
Something’s up.
I’m not sure he’s rebooting however, if Texas Eagle just had a (long) refresh time but eventually got through.
Long, long delay however.

Been ten minutes. Nothing.
In the past I have had selective DNS blocking of certain websites.
Often when I clear my cache, access one of the secure shell search engines and access it from the search results that it will go right to the website.
Strange. Yes there are strange things happening on the web.

That's bull. Ever since the upgrades---what, two years ago?---FR has run perfectly smooth and fast for me.
Obviously the link is not working but here is part of what was posted....

Shazam!
Accessing Drudge via duckduck was instant. Still won’t come up via google!
TOP 5 CRACKDOWNS ON CONSERVATIVES' INTERNET FREE SPEECH
Read the excellent article yesterday on AT by Sally Zelikovsky "Brendan Eich and the New American Totalitarian State." We are in very scary territory now. Here are her concluding paragraphs:
Not only is it hard to swallow that something like this could happen in our country, it is hard to fathom how anyone can be so self-righteous, so emboldened, to think it a perfectly good idea to socially engineer society with the same iron fists as history's liberty-crushing despots. All of that talk about equality, justice, liberty, tolerance and diversity, is just talk. Its a one way street leading to oppression. And so frenzied are they with their viewpoints -- so intent on crushing any opposing ideas-- that they are blinded to their own bigotry. So now, no longer is it just the government that can single you out, punish and persecute you for being a patriot or a tea partier. Now, your employer can as well. And then, maybe your landlord. And, why not the local hospital? And what about your kids in school? For those of you from the old USSR, you know, this was how it was done. Stick to the party line, keep quiet, support the state and you keep your job and get assigned a small apartment. If you dont, your kids suffer in school, your boss makes life difficult at work and dont be surprised if your electricity doesnt work. Take on the entire system, become a dissident or refusnik, and its off to Siberia. Youll be lucky if you live.
Knowledge is indeed power, and when those in power can use their knowledge of what you do outside of work to determine your professional fate, we have indeed stepped behind the Iron Curtain.

OK Druge is 100% back, here now.

I deleted my old Drudge link, accessed it through duckduck, saved a new bookmark. Seems to link fine now.

Just tried it with chrome and it came up instantly! Maybe Firefox is blocked. I am working on picking a new browser. :)
