I’m going to continue to train our horses, bale a LOT of hay,cut brush, spend a bunch of time at the range, and continue to pray that our national nightmare comes to an end.

Things are looking good for taking my son’s BSA troop on a river trip. No I’m not telling you which river, go find your own river.

Looking for a quiet summer this year. Last summer was very busy with grandnephew’s birth, nephew’s wedding and my son’s wedding all in a row.
I need shoulder surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff. Going to the Indy 500, a few Reds and Cubs games. Mrs. henkster & I will probably go to Houston to visit her family (and do some shooting).
Our second son is between his junior and senior year, and if he lands an internship in his field, we are going to officially be empty nesters as he is not likely to live any signifcant time at our house again.

I’m going to enjoy the gift of warmth that doesn’t cost me anything to produce. I’m for sure going to enjoy that big inland sea called “lake” Michigan that I didn’t even bother to go to last summer.

My wife and I are retiring and moving to Arizona! I wonder if “ArizonaErik” is already taken.

I just got laid off so I plan to have fun in the high country. On and off road motorcycles, my MR2 (known as my "race car" because I took it to High Plains Raceway on a couple of lapping days).
We will probably climb a 14teener or two. If you have time while in Colorado, drive to the top of Mt. Evans. The highest paved road in America. It is fun to watch the kids turn blue at 14,250 MSL.

Pick up son from his BS camp in CO, head to Oregon for a week, drive back to TX via Yellowstone and Mt. Rushmore. If my contract is renewed in the next month for one additional year, I'll add a few stops to it. If not, we'll keep it basic, yet we'll still have a great time.
Best vacation I ever had was last year. Two week road trip with my 11YO son, drove to Vegas via Southern Utah. Horeseback riding near Bryce Canyon and in Monument Valley, canyoneering/rappelling near Zion NP. The rest of the family joined us in Vegas for a few days. Before splitting up, we enjoyed the Standing on a Corner Park in Winslow, AZ. Drove home via Sedona and Tombstone, last stop was Roswell.
