Oh, we watch Falling Skies, too! I think they’re going to do twelve episodes this time around. Very fun show.
We watch Bates Motel, which starts up in March and runs through May. It’s no WD, but it keeps our interest. Vera Farmiga’s performance as Norma Bates is excellent.
This will probably be unpopular, but here goes.
I think that the writers had grown weary of the girls characters and decided to take the easy way out and kill them off before they got to Terminus. Either what is going to happen at Terminus is so socially unacceptable that they could not include them in the story, or it was decided that they were the cast members most likely not to be missed so they got the ax.
My tipoff was when the two adults travelling with them started going off on walks, leaving them by themselves. Every time they would come back, the girls were under attack by walkers. So, what did the adults do? Go on longer and more frequent walks. I got the hint.
I agree.
In the comics, there were two brothers (Ben and Billy) who had a somewhat similar storyline.
Sigh!
But you can wear a bacon necklace. Chicks dig it, dogs love it. Don't knock it 'till you try it.
I just saw the trailer for The Road and it looks really good. Man, I’m behind the times. It came out in 2009 and had never heard of it until you pointed it out. LOL
What does the A mean after episode 16?
“A” is the name of the episode. I’m not sure why.
Yep. Probably a cannibal colony.
Good point about the children.
Game of Thrones my friend.
Ha! The outlet in the truck/extension to sat receiver and TV worked! Gotta love good ol’ Redneck engineering! Now I just hope nothing blows up! An LED TV and Modern Satellite receiver probably use very little electricity.
Feeding rats to walkers is crazy but it wouldn't attract any others. It's not like they can call out to each other and say "Hey, someone opened up a rat restaurant down here!" The mere fact that anyone was there at all would be what attracted the first ones, then the noise would attract others. Walkers don't have enough intelligence to hang around waiting for treats.
One thing I do wonder is why the walkers have to eat at all since so far I haven't seen any evidence that they starve to death if they don't. It seems more like they are driven to murder rather than to eat and their teeth are their only weapons. But that doesn't explain why they hang around to eat their victims once they are dead. I guess some questions are better left unanswered so the show can go on.
Well, they were greeted by a woman. The leader of the guys Darryl is hanging with said something like “they don’t want guys like us there.” So, it’s a feminist colony. The men are usually murdered.
Cormac McCarthy generally makes me feel empty, but The Road made me feel disemboweled. That was the book.
After the movie, I wished I could feel merely disemboweled.
