Thanks neverdem. Henry VIII was father of the modern British Navy -- the obvious deficiencies of the bronze cannon was something he did something about. Building ships so they wouldn't keel over from the extra weight of iron cannon was something that had to be learned, not sure if that applies to the Mary Rose though.
