I use IE mainly because some older relatives also use my computer, and change does not come easy to them. If I switch to Firefox or Chrome, will things look that much different?

Not much different although things may be in a different spot. You'll have to do some customizing (but you do with IE too) to select search engine, etc. Tool bars are done the same way.

Chrome is probably the easiest and fastest.

To me they look more like IE than IE does.

It won’t be a huge change.

Chrome is the easiest, especially if you remember the address bar is also the search bar.
