OK, I know everyone has their own theories as to the motivations behind the missing 777. Let's put them in one place, give us your top 3.
Here's mine.
1. Tom Clancy/Executive Orders scenario. Plane will be used later as a WMD to take out something in Washington or New York. Passengers killed/ransomed.
2. Diversion by Russia/Iran so Putin could do his thing during the distraction. Will be used later as possible unstoppable destruction device to disable or take out one of our carriers in the Med. Passengers killed/ransomed.
3. Plane was designed to climate strategic Diego Garcia near Indian Ocean/Persian Gulf. It was shot down by US en route and now there's a cover up as no one wants to admit. Passengers killed.

I saw a map on an aviation forum that followed the line across the Andaman islands to a very thin corridor with no radar, space to go just in between, and it led toward Khazakstan..Xingai...etc.
...the Shaman will find the plane.

This point just explains why they would go to high altitude where people pass out within seconds, outside the range of any cell towers, then die, of course.
This was a pre-planned well executed event, or else we would know something by now.
Since there were no claims, I also lean towards them doing this either as a test case, or it’s just a first step in a larger plot, notions of nukes being flied somewhere not excluded.
What did Sherlock Holmes say, something along “If you eliminate most options, then whatever is left, however implausible is what happened” — not exact quote, but along these lines and I think it applies in this case.
In terms of the Uighur...as you said, they might have been on via stolen passports - or there might have been Chinese muslims from other parts of the country.
And...it could well be this was partially an inside job - that a Chinese muslim separatist group simply bribed one or both pilots (both muslim) to aid them in their purpose.
I just don’t see how this plane could make it past Indian airspace without being detected, or arrive in Pakistan without Pakistani government knowledge. But, if we are willing to suggest that much, that the Pakistani or Iranian governments would be willing to lend such material support to a hijacking - it would have been far easier to simply give the terrorists a plane, if that is what they wanted.
If was hijacked or pirated by all appearances. But, I think we would know if it landed safely somewhere by now. The fact we seemingly don’t, suggests that it was shot down. The Chinese would be the most likely culprit there...in my humble, tin foil opinion.
Yeah Putin staged this to keep CNN occupied while he invades Ukraine. It’s working so far.
1. Obama’s numbers keep sliding and his health care act is a joke. He simply hired a few fellow muzzies to jack the plan and take it wherever they want to distract the world from his foul self.
I have no doubt it could very well have been a planned event. I should have been more clear on that statement. I was not referring to passengers with cell cams. I know they could do them in at high altitude. I was referring to the fact, that if it landed somewhere, there are people on the ground with cams everywhere. All it would take, is for one person to film it, and blabber to the media about it. I also think if an aircraft lands somewhere, it will need maintenance. If it stays on the ground for awhile, I hear they need even more maintenance to get airborne again. I don't know about the logistics of it all. Any aircraft maintenance guys out there?
Seems like a hell of a coincidence that the possible end point of flight 370 runs through the southern (mainly unpopulated) half of the Uighur region of China, Sinkiang. One would suppose that the PRC is generally in charge of the radars and airports in that region, but who knows, perhaps they have friends just over the border in Tadjikistan or Afghanistan. One could imagine a second phase of such a plot being a surprise attack on Beijing after a low-altitude radar-evading flight (full moon and the next clear night perhaps?) ... but if you like the Putin angle, then I would be watching for a staged “discovery” and “rescue” later today or tomorrow to obscure breaking news from Ukraine. It appears that Russia is getting ready to invade the eastern Ukraine and without this story the entire news cycle would be totally dominated by this crisis.

Possibly the plane was parted out because the value of the sum of the parts is higher than the value of a complete aircraft.
Or, there’s been a flight worthy 727-223 diesel can sitting out there.
Or, the pilot screwed up and there’s 727-223 wreckage waiting to be found in the wilds of Africa.
Still, it was amazingly easy for someone to fly off with an entire jet.
Makes me wonder what the game is with mh370.
So possibly stopped someplace “safe” and topped up, then they “threaded the needle” in between the radars and adiz air defense zones and got to their destination.

Flyingwithfish is saying our DHS knows that the pilot was involved, and that the plane flew 3,675 miles and then landed.
Speculates that something on board is the prize,,and that plane and passengers are being disposed of. Whatever the object is, is considered more valuable than the plane or passengers.
Says DHS knew as early as March 8 that pilot was involved.
Likely place of landing is Isfahan in Iran.
So far, this at least makes some sense. Wonder what or who was on the plane that was considered so valuable.
#1 for me . . . I’ve thought so since the beginning. Doubt the passengers are alive since they took it up to 45K feet and the passengers probably passed out and then asphyxiated then. I doubt they crashed it on purpose, since why would you go to all that trouble and then crash it? I think they either have it squirreled away some place for later use (possibly as a vehicle for a bomb) or they may have miscalculated and ditched it in the water accidentally. But terrorists have patience. They *must* find this plane or we’ll be watching our backs for the next decade.
Actually, with open borders to our south this plane just becomes one more of thousands of issues of jeopardy we face. We have no idea how many terror types are already here in the US,how many sleepers, and to think that this plane is our biggest true jeopardy is to ignore the potential terrorism aspects that open borders present.
Hell is made for people like that......
