Fly it like you stole it!
My theory:
Hussein helped jam radar/signals while his jihadis grabbed the plane for an upcoming EMP attack on CONUS.
Marxists and Mozzies are cowards. They want to kill everybody but don’t want to be “Seen doing it” so they can preserve their ‘good PR’ (ahahahah) for the long crusade.
So they sneak around and send kamikazes; stage false flags; sabotage you from within.
There are some problems.
A) A distress signal is very easy to send out (two buttons in the cockpit). Those terrorists would have had to break in very quickly
B) Would terrorists be dumb enough to crash the plane accidentally? You’d have thought they’d be more experienced.
It wouldn’t explain why the GSM cellphones and smartphones that passengers had on board were able to be dialed to by their relatives or were online up to three days after the aircraft supposedly crashed.
Sorta what I was alluding to when comparing to Airport ‘77 prior, just with a different spin.
More plausible than some.
Some folks have basically gone into a trance flying drugs up from Columbia. The route is littered with their planes. The featureless surface of the ocean can lure you lower without your being aware of it especially if you are not used to low altitude flying. Sort of the same thing that sometimes happens to folks on a long distance interstate trip. Just my two bits, I am a pilot.
Why steal a plane in the first place?
I don’t know or remember if this flight took off after dark or near dark. What you say sounds logical.
As good a theory as any that our vaunted intelligence services have put forward.
Botched hijacking. It’s at the bottom the Indian Ocean.
Not to nitpick but the latest report I’ve seen regarding the engines reporting their status, is that they are supposed to report every hour and in this case the engines did not transmit any data but rather they continued to ping the satellites to get the ok to transmit, which apparently never happened. The investigators have no actual telemetric data reflecting how the engines were operating.
Also I would think to pull off something like this the pilots would have to be involved. Landing a fully loaded 777 at a remote location in secret and at night without transmitting landing aides would be far to difficult for some one not a fully qualified 777 pilot.
If the engines’ satellite pings were being done once every hour, after the 4th ping (that followed the turning off of the plane’s transponders) there would be an addition hour of flight time before the 5th pinging engaged. So the possible flight radius can be increased by another hour’s flight distance. That brings the radius out to cover Afghanistan and a significant chunk of Iran.
There are a lot of “suitable” flat areas in the Iranian desert in which an experienced pilot could land. Just because the transponders were turned off doesn’t mean all the navigation instruments and equipment wasn’t functioning. The pilots could have entered some predetermined (and previously scouted) coordinates and flew the plane there to land and meet up with confederates awaiting them. This is definitely NOT beyond the realm of possibilities.
I think it was stolen and landed in Bangladesh.
Just a Theory and putting it out there.
My two cents: The pilot and FO stole the plane. It was night so the passengers probably didn’t notice the change in direction. Probably had a couple of accomplices in the back just in case and after landing. The latest word is 4 to 5 hours of ACARS. If they climbed a little and pushed the power up, they could have made Iran. That is where I think the aircraft is. The passengers are now hostages. The aircraft will likely be refitted for a Chem/Bio attack or possibly worse.
I have thought for some time, that the co-pilot was behind this. Maybe planned a suicide, thinking it wouldn’t be detected and leaving insurance money to someone. He could have given the captain a cup of coffee laced with drugs to knock him out.
3 days ago, after the westward flight radar tracking appeared, I posted the following in the comments section of an MSM (i.e. left-biased) paper:
“My theory now is that a crew member (pilot, co-pilot or other with cockpit access and 777 knowledge) turned off the transponder and “hijacked” or diverted the plane to the west. Perhaps for “Islamic” motive, as most Malays are Muslim. He quickly disables others at the controls, locks the cockpit door, disables communication and brings 777 to low altitude. Destination? Sumatra? Bangladesh? Could it reach India or Pakistan? Petronas Towers or another mass casualty suicide target like 9/11?
Perhaps his plans were interrupted by others, resulting in crash west of Malaysia, like 9/11 crash in Pennsylvania. Would Indonesia radar pick up aircraft over Sumatra? Does this scenario fit what is known so far?”
It was removed by the editors for violating their terms. I then reposted it, simply removing the reference to “Islamic”, and it remained for comments. The scenario remains more viable than before.
It also reveals that some media will censor any mention of a connection between the “Religion of Peace” and anti-Western violence, lest they get their head chopped off for such an implication.
