Bring back a species whose habitat has disappeared and would not be able to survive anyplace on the planet.
Now THAT’S a worthwhile endeavor.
“...The first time Ben Novak saw a passenger pigeon, he fell to his knees and remained in that position, speechless, for 20 minutes. He was 16. At 13, Novak vowed to devote his life to resurrecting extinct animals. At 14, he saw a photograph of a passenger pigeon in an Audubon Society book and fell in love...
Most boys that age are chasing girls...
This one’s chasing pigeons.
Um...yeah..ok...
> Note. Not a michelle thread.
Wouldn’t such a thread have “Sasquatch”, “Wookie”, or “Gorilla” in the title?
Memorable and applicable lines from Redd Foxx:
“Why’n’choo go stick yo’ face in some dough an’ make gorilla cookies?!”
... or ...
“Why’n’choo go sleep on a rubber pillow and erase yo’ face?!”
> Note. Not a michelle thread.
LOL I needed a good chuckle.
Yeah but they are woolly!
We’ll need woolly animals if it gets much colder due to Global Warming.
Plus, this will justify massive land graps to protect an endangered species that is no longer really endangered because we can bring it back at any time.
/Sarcasm mode on hyperbole
MMMMmmmmmmmm!!!
Mammoth burgers!
Hmm...I could use a guard mammoth. BTT
Yep. There's a reason why species go extinct. It's been happening for 100's of millions of years, and will continue on so long as the planet is habitable.
And, to those who say "Man caused (XXXX) to go extinct!!!!", remember that man is a species, too. It's no different than if the passenger pigeons were all eaten by saber-toothed tigers.
just my $0.02.
DEAD pigeons.
Guess this is a man bites dog (or man loves pigeon) story.
Yeah, I thought of that. I'd let mine inside on the cold days. Train it to use a litter box. A big litter box.
Seattle is digging a tunnel under the waterfront. They found a 50,000 year old mammoth tusk which they sent to the University of Wash. Maybe our friend can restore it back to life. Who know what more prehistoric animals live down under the waterfront. The UW could have real zoo with our friends help.
Lets bring back giants, Chimeras, and all those forbidden beasts.
Chickens, pigeons... eh.. Love is a fowl thing, sometimes...
John Deere probably makes scoop that you can use to clean that litter box.
