Long before he arrived at the White House, Barack Obama was the son of a single mother, challenged and tempted by the same societal ills that disproportionately keep African-Americans impoverished and behind bars. Now the nation’s first black president is unveiling a new initiative aimed at breaking down those obstacles, and pledging to continue the fight long after his presidency ends.
Joined at the White House by young men of color, Obama on Thursday was calling on America’s businesses, philanthropists and government leaders to join forces to put more boys on a path toward successful lives. Are we talking about the same Obama, whose had a "nanny" in Indonesia, went to a posh private school in Hawaii, then had to suffer like so many other street urchins by going to Occidental and Columbia? His only temptations were the group of kids he associated with in high school that were into marijuana.
In that regard he has more in common with the Kennedy kids than he does with impoverished youth from the inner city.

Maybe someday 5%...instead of the current 1%...of black boys will grow up in a family consisting of a decent,responsible mother *and* a decent,responsible and hard working father.Of course the Rat Party will do everything in its power to prevent that.Voter base,don’t you know!
