I have to ask myself...are you reading ALL the responses, or just those addressed to you? For example, way back, there was a discussion about that ballooning effect of what appears to be her trouser-leg. Looking at the image of the leg we see in the aircraft, she seems to have been wearing pants that had elastic in the cuff at the ankle. If that’s the case, then the trouser leg would hold air until the fabric was totally saturated. A close-weave fabric, especially something like polyester, would hold air for quite some time, and cause the garmet to balloon until all the air had escaped.
You couldn’t duplicate that effect until you laid yourself into a bathtub full of water.
