You must be young and limber. It’s not just the money it’s being flexible enough to get in. Even climbing in my Durango hurts. Our other car is 1991 Saturn SL. Been in the family since near new. ~40k oiginal miles. Too good to give up but what a pain in the back, neck and other parts.
Not sure if it’s the race or my Classic Light cheap beer but my head is starting to hurt...

It’s always frustrating to be at the track when this happens.
Now that Daytona has lights, they can pretty much wait til 9pm if they need to. Mike Waltrip just showed up in the “Hollywood Hotel” which means a long wait for now.

They got Rain Tyres
Stands Evacuated so that just means everybody drowns but don't get hit by Lightning.

I remember Indy 2004. 4 inches of rain and a tornado close by. It’s no fun waiting out a day like that.

There'd be something about a big block bumping and thumping under the hood. Displacement might be the same, but the big blocks sound so nasty.
That said, todays boss blocks, at 427 ci are hard to beat. Inexpensive to build vs the FE's.
Order one up from Ford at $10k and you have 535hp, $15k =600hp.
A Robert Pond 427FE at 600hp=$20k
500hp in a SB 427 in a Cobra, would be sick. The originals had 425 horsepower in 2300-2400lbs, don't know what the Factory Fives weigh, but if the chassis weighed the same, you'd have 75 more hp with 100-125 lbs less weight. You'd go from about 5.5 lbs per hp to 4.4 lbs per hp.

Not near as young as I once was, DEFINETLY not as limber.
I find I'm getting taller as I get older...
The toes are getting farther and farther away when I bend over.
But to drive a GT40? I wouldn't care if I have to strip down into my skivvies and pour Mazola oil on me to wedge me in.

Didn’t jr win a rain called Daytona?
Back in the day when the race was on the beach it would sprinkle in the morning and be dry and sunny in the afternoon.
More proof of global warming, climate change or whatever it’s called this week.

They have to put a spot in for Danica during the delay. "Don't count her out".
Don't count her out?
I've never counted her in.
What did she do, start 31? She'll finish 32. 30 if she's lucky.
