Here again is an overlay on the Starry Night sky map. I had to turn off daylight to get the view for this date, but M16 is visible at this latitude. This is a very large scale image. Note the small namesake spreadeagle perched on the interestingly shaped perch right at the center. The image is rotated by about 100 degrees for the overlay, but the eagle is still at the center of course. Need I add that the whole image is about the size of the full moon? Well, it is!
