Officer shoots dog
The officer can be seen shooting the dog in this picture and in the video
A man in Idaho with Parkinsons disease had his service dog shot by an officer who felt the dog was too aggressive. It was as the mans 9-year old sons birthday party wound down.
The officer came in response to a call that the dogs were on the loose. He shot the 7-year-old black labrador, named Hooch, at point-blank range when the dog menaced him.
The dogs owner Rick Clubb said the officer was much too trigger-happy.
Adding insult to injury, Mr. Clubb was given a summons which he plans to fight.

Bammy's fault.
Score one more libertarian. Shame a dog had to die to accomplish that.
thanks. to my great chagrin, the URL I copied in
doesn’t work but the page is really there. any advice
on how to fix this up?
Shot an old black lab? He never heard of pepper spray?
But his jack-booted boss backed him up. (Dog was a Lab.)
Racis’ shootin’.
The town is small enough to shun the perp (and his boss).
1. I would like to see a badly-behaving trained service dog. Just one.
2. The summons is just cover.
3. The chief’s statement might as well have said...”and out lawyers told us to make this statement”.
4. If the police in that area are so fearful of injury, criminals there are going to have to consider making a decision if they are caught- spending some time in jail as a rather popular cop shooter, or dead.
At this point, I’d be saying “Cue the law-and-order thugs in 3...2...1...” but they’ve been strangely quiet lately.
but will the cops shun them? you may not be interesting
in JBT-puppyciders, but JBT-puppyciders are interested in you.
It’s getting to the point where dog shoots cop would be news

Apparently someone called the cops because two dogs were loose in the neighborhood “menacing” people. I looked at the video and I don’t believe that was a trained “service” dog.
Pepper spray would have been a wiser course of action regardless.
“Officer Tarek Hassani”
Was that the officer’s name?
Apparently.
That was ridiculous. The cop had NO other course of action? He couldn’t have used his sirens to draw attention from inside the house to come collect the dog? His loudspeaker? He couldn’t have called the station and asked for a phone number for the address?
Absolutely ridiculous. No one was in danger. The cop purposefully put himself in danger. Then, he shot a *barking* dog.
If I shot someone’s dog, all my firearms would be confiscated in a heartbeat. I’m sick of the fearless way in which cops break the law they are sworn to uphold.
