Pocket passers are not finished because of pass & run quarterbacks. Pass and run quarterbacks are becoming more common because of a dearth of good pocket passers.
I agree. The problem with the pure pocket passers today is you need a guy who is 6'6" with the brains and talent to get it over the monster linemen you have today. As great as guys like Johnny U were in their day, they would not even be able to see their receives over these monsters coming at them now.
Those guys are rare, so it's more likely with see more of the sprint out QBs whose careers are limited because they will eventually be injured and slowed down on their speed.
It's the nature of the game... everything bigger, faster, stronger.
