Peyton Manning proved once again that, from September to December, he is a cross between Superman and Joe Montana. When it comes down to January and February, however, he is a serviceable QB at best. There has to be some explanation why he is now the losingest QB in playoff history.

Maybe he got complacent after winning his 5th REGULAR SEASON MVP award? No matter, Eli (who at the end of the game looked like he had swallowed a sour lemon himself) still holds the better SB record in the family.

This morning on the NFL network, it was the consensus that Mannings’ legacy will not be harmed at all by this game. I’m sorry, but I don’t get that. You screw up the biggest game of the year, and it doesn’t matter?

That said, I have nothing against Peyton; I hear he’s a conservative and a Christian, and he seems to be a decent guy. But I’m a Panthers fan, so I really didn’t care about yesterday’s outcome either way.
