Ben Affleck: I can't watch 'big Republican' actors
World Net Daily ^ | 1/30/2014 | Larry Elder

Posted on 01/30/2014 6:14:38 AM PST by rktman

Democratic fundraiser/actor Ben Affleck – and the next big-screen “Batman” – recently gave an interview to Playboy. His own bias against Republicans, he admits, prevents him from fully enjoying a Republican actor’s performance. “It’s … hard,” said Affleck, “to get people to suspend disbelief.”

Affleck said: “When I watch a guy I know is a big Republican, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him, or we would have different opinions. That (bleep) fogs the mind when you should be paying attention and be swept into the illusion.”

I already saw a rewrite of this.

Racially insensitive actor Ben Affleck – and the next big-screen “Batman” – recently gave an interview to Playboy. His own bias against black people, he admits, prevents him from fully enjoying a black actor’s performance. “It’s ... hard, said Affleck, “to get people to suspend disbelief.”

Affleck said: “When I watch a black guy, part of me thinks, I probably wouldn’t like this person if I met him, or we would have different opinions. That (bleep) fogs the mind when you should be paying attention and be swept into the illusion.”

That (bleep) fogs the mind

In your case, Ben, I suspect that this isn't all that hard to do.

That’s okay, Ben, we will also do you the favor of boycotting your films. I have been boycotting MOST films for years now, so as not to give them any of MY hard-earned monies, and to take a stand against overly violent, immoral, and foul-mouthed actors taking everything to the worst levels. There is no reason for it and I refuse to pay money to see it.

I like your take on this. Sometimes substituting words reveals a lot. :>}

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting school,
He was terrible in that film.
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part,
He’s way better then Ben Affleck.
And now all I can think about is your smile,
And that ——ty movie too,
Pearl Harbor sucked and I miss you

Bunny A. Fleck and Matt Damien made their name with a movie they “wrote” called Good Will Hunting. “Amazing” film out of the gate (I wouldn't know, I've never seen it).

Of course, Jack Nicholson used to be quite the screen writer, something he DOESN'T want Hollywood to know these days.

How plausible is it that the old guard wrote one more film?

Certainly the “geniuses” behind it moved on to make formula genre franchise films rather than “dramatic art”.

Maybe they never had the talent in the first place but they were willing to play ball.

Communiam will dictate the jobs as well. Mr. Affleck could very well find himself as the pool boy at his former (now The People’s) swimming pool.

Yea, for my part, I can’t stand watching limp-wristed Marxist actors either.

So I don’t watch their movies.

Don’t feel like enriching the evil and stupid among us.

I bet the movie studio is just thrilled to have one of their actors piss off 50% of filmgoers.

I didn’t see the Harvey Milk movie. Who played Harvey’s gay lover Reverend Jim Jones?

How am I supposed to suspend disbelief in thinking that Marvel’s Norse Gods included black Norwegians?

Boycott the studios. And their parent corporations. And theirs sponsors/advertisers.

Time-Lies-Warner-Turner doesn’t see my money.

Hopefully not Powers Boothe (although he did a great job playing him in the Made-For-TV movie about Jonestown).

Ummmm...Ben must not watch many old movies. Stick with the current crap spewed forth from Hollywood, yeah, that’s the ticket.

Funny, that’s how I feel when I see Martin Sheen or other outspoken liberals on the screen.

Yeah, leftoids do that to me too, so I understand why an imbecile like Ben would have trouble suspending belief when someone with different opinions than him is on the screen. After all, the leftoid manifesto insists that everyone, especially Hollywood sleaze think exactly alike.
