If you are going to ask such a question, you had better cover all your bases & ask about alcohol, cocaine, heroine, prescription drugs, & inhalants. Better ask if they are queer, muslim, Jewish, Mormon, Catholic, carrying any weapons, or have any communicable diseases. Though, your most revealing question might be, “Do you mind doing business with a moron?”

Why would it matter if they were Jewish, Mormon, Catholic or carrying weapons?

I can see asking about the others as I prefer not to do business with any one of those either. But Jewish, Mormon, Catholic or carrying weapons do not pose a threat to me.
