Unlike many conservatives I've *always* loved *some* of the folk music of the 60’s.I don't always agree with the message but,somehow,I still love it.However,Pete Seeger...the “godfather” of modern folk (along with Woody Guthrie) was a rabid,in-your-face,Communist and for that reason I say “rot in hell,Pete”.

I met and listened to one of his relatives in Canada sing his famous line, “I might be right, I might be wrong, but I’ve got the right to sing this song.” I pointed out that in Canada he didn’t have the right to sing the song, he had the permission and that it was only in the United States with its 1st Amendment that he had the right. Didn’t make me very popular.

—and , like any number of present-day Marxist hypocrites, taking advantage of a semi-capitalist system, he wandered the country obtaining “folk “ songs then copyrighted them for his own enrichment-—
