In the 70s, my cousin, who was an Army Captain, his name Tom Parker, had the perfect pickup line, that he claimed worked every time: “Hi babe, I’m a captain, howdya like to be my Tennille?” And yes, he eventually made it to Colonel.

I just read they are doing it for healthcare reasons, he has Parkinsons and Obamacommiecare has messed up their insurance. Expect the Marxist propaganda machine posing as our impartial media to brush this under the rug ASAP.

The Captain has been in poor health for some time, MS I think.

That song destroyed their career, I remember it clear as day.

Wow, I haven’t thought about that commercial in close to 40 years. My dream was to flush him.

Toni lives in the Prescott area. To be honest, I thought they had been divorced for a while. Never hear anything about him.

I remember she seemed very big mouthed and overbearing and he seemed quiet and whipped.
Seemed like a perfect match.
I wonder what happened?

According to the divorce docs, obtained by TMZ, there’s special mention about health insurance coverage, and that seems relevant, because in 2009 Toni blogged that Daryl had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. In 2011 Toni updated the message, saying Daryl’s tremors were so bad he was embarrassed to go out in public ... to restaurants, the movies, etc.
Looks like another casulty of obamacare.

I just watched a few minutes of that interview. I must say that she seems a bit overbearing. Perhaps he didn't talk much because he couldn't get a word in edgewise? Bingo.

I’m 76 and never heard of them, they couldn’t have been much.

She’s a babe now, even at 73...erh, in the dark she will be...

There is a final burst of divorces within 2 years after Both Spouses are retired For the first time they are persistently in the same place, at the same time Underfoot, Interfering, Etc. My wife (of 18 years) and I have four home schooled kids and a small business. As such, we've spent a great deal more time around each other than lots of other couples. I guess we've just figured out how to give each other enough personal space over the years.
After retirement, I don't see much changing in our day to day routine, so maybe we'll beat those odds.
