Feb 2: 6350pm EST - TV Fox. Seattle at Denver (-1) O/U 47 1/2: Cold. In the upper teens and low 20s with a chance of snow.
That all said, Sherman showed poor sportsmanship and his interview should have been done with a 15 second delay and deleted, for his benefit, the NFL's benefit, and for the benefit of kids who might look up to him.
One who is silent.
Marshawn Lynch
I wonder how hes going to deal with the media now.
Sorry its espn
Its a curiosity.
Hes had some issues in the past.
I assume he's trying to turn things around and just play his best.
The guy is a horse.
In the big picture this is all Idolatry.
Great entertainment.
Lots of money moving around.
The world remains broken and needs a fixing.
Man cannot do this alone.
I’m not really sure his intent was to shake Crabtree’s hand...but lets say it was. How does that excuse his throat slash penalty or his rant that scared the heck out of Erin Andrews?
“Seahawks will need to up their game. Both they and SF played a sloppy game and neither looked like championship teams today.”
Indeed. Whereas Denver played nearly a flawless game. Even New England didn’t make the kind of mistakes that SF or the Seahawks did, they just got outplayed by Denver.
Generally I agree, although I think they let too much offensive holding go on at the line of scrimmage, and too much defensive holding and pass interference downfield in the playoffs. The Broncs/Pats game was slightly better officiated in that regard.
I will have to look for a video of the entire play. I was astounded to turn around and realize the guy who basically won the game for Seattle, was now charged with a penalty that could have jeopardized that victory. You are correct, and I certainly hope a 15 second delay is instituted, going forward. Thanks!
It doesn't excuse his behavior in any sense. He should apologize. Makes the team look bad.
Contrast with Russell Wilson, conservative Christian who tweets Scripture, and with Marshawn the silent.
Moral: some players have better character than others.
That said, Seattle will not win a shootout with Denver, so their defense will need to be even better than it was tonight.
Local news guys say Crabtree just tweeted something like:
Film don’t lie, pull up the film and see that Sherman ain’t that great. #fakefakefake
LOL. Tweeting that heading back home to wait for the 2014 season.
I guess the media asked Sherman if he was going to try to get into Manning’s head. Replied something like “If ya try to do that, you’ll just get lost”. He also said something to the effect of the higher level of play of the Bronco’s is exciting because it brings up the defense’s level of play.
“The Hawks/Niners games looked “sloppier” because both of the NFC teams have much better defenses. Good defense is disruptive and makes offensive execution suffer. “
And yet the score was basically the same in the Denver/New England game without any of the turnovers and penalties in the SF/Seattle game. So looks to me like the Denver/New England game had the better defenses.
Kapernick’s turnovers were almost exclusively about extremely stupid decisions rather than brilliant defensive plays. A smarter quarterback would have never made those throws in the first place. And Wilson running all over heck and back and fumbling on the first play, getting called for intentional grounding, all the sloppy hanoffs by both teams was sloppy play. Almost nothing like any of that happened to either Denver or New England.
Colorado more liberal than Massachusetts? You’ve got to be kidding.
“Peyton Manning does not play well in very cold weather”
You mean like when he slaughtered the Titans on Dec. 9 51-28 in 15 degree weather?
“Colorado more liberal than Massachusetts? Youve got to be kidding.”
Oops, I meant Washington. Still thinking about New England.
Has Massachusetts legalized marijuana?
“It felt damp and oppressive, but thats normal out here.”
OY, I love New Jersey, what can I say?
It reminds me of a time when it seemed to rain here for 3 months solid.
One night getting out of the car I said to hubby, I don’t ever want to move to Seattle. And he said “why?” and I said: I’ve already lived there for 3 months!
It’s a rainforest that’s what some social studies teacher I had once said. Cold, but a rainforest nevertheless.
Anyway, your guys won, and good job to them for doing so!
“Has Massachusetts legalized marijuana?”
No, but they’ve outlawed guns. Not a problem here in Colorado.
Didn’t Colorado just pass a bunch of gun control laws?
That said: Peyton Manning is a future Hall-of-Famer. Their receiving corps with Decker and Welker is extraordinary. Their run game, respectable. I have nothing but respect for what they've accomplished this year and know that the Broncos will exact a nearly perfect defensive performance from the 'Hawks if the latter are to have a chance of prevailing.
“Didnt Colorado just pass a bunch of gun control laws?”
Yeah, but so badly written no one is paying any attention to them. 85% of the county Sheriffs said they wouldn’t enforce them. Laws pertain to so-called large-capacity magazines, but existing one are grand-fathered and no way to tell a an “old” one from a “new” one.
The other law has to do with transfers between private citizens. Almost everyone is ignoring that one too.
Plus three state senators were recalled because of this, and will likely cause a shift to a Republican legislature next election, plus we’ll probably get rid of Senator Mark Udall then too.
