I don't think you would go wrong with a Remington 700 SPS in .308. Price is reasonable, accuracy is excellent (much better than most shooters can manage), and it's very reliable. As for the trigger, I've never had a problem.

Thanks – the one I’m looking at is chambered in .308 so I might go with it.
Heard some recommendations for other caliber’s but it may be a blessing in disguise that the one I’m eying is just that.
Less of a decision to make.
