A diner at a McDonald's drive-thru near Paris skipped the usual customer complaints procedure recently, after being served fries he deemed too cold. Instead, the man grabbed an axe and launched into a violent and terrifying attack, according to Le Parisien.
Weve all been let down from time to time by the discrepancy between what appears in fast food commercials, and what we get served in reality.
But for one McDonalds customer near Paris late on Saturday night, the disappointment was too much to take, it would appear.
According to French daily Le Parisien, a customer at a drive-thru restaurant at Garges-lès-Gonesse, in the northern suburbs of the French capital, didnt take kindly to the temperature of his fries, after pulling up to the fast-food outlet on Avenue de Stalingrad at around 2am on Saturday night.
After complaining they were too cold, and apparently not getting satisfaction from the staff-member behind the drive-thru counter, the 26-year-old man descended from his Renault Master van, brandishing an axe.
The incident escalated rapidly, as the enraged man swung his axe at the drive-thru counter, smashing the glass window to pieces.
Apparently not convinced he had made his feelings clear, he then threw the axe into the restaurant itself, where it landed amid a group of terrified late-night diners, narrowly missing them.
The angry McDonalds customer drove off in his van, and attempted to flee police officers, who had been tipped off by witnesses.
In the end, however, he was stopped and arrested by law enforcement, who found him bleeding heavily from a deep wound in his right arm, apparently incurred during the attack on the drive-thru counter.
Emergency services were called to the scene and patched up the deeply dissatisfied customer, a local man, before he was taken in for questioning by police.
The 35-year-old McDonalds employee with the misfortune to be working the drive-thru counter at the time of the incident, suffered cuts to the face from fragments of the shattered glass window, but was not hospitalized, according to Le Parisien.
Sounds like he might have been of the Islamic persuasion - or are fries un-Islamic?
Jack Torrance?
Explains it all, doesn't it! Location, location!
I love it when “counters” fight back, and win. When was the last time the French won anything ( but they did kick the heck out of Al Qaida/Tuaregs in Mali recently).
All he wanted to do was axe them a question.

Конечно, товарищ!
Bare-hill “buttes” of Paris.
Welcome to McDonald’s would you like to a value meal? No thanks I’d like a Big Mac with a stale moldy bun and a 2 cold patties and brown lettuce and a cold order of over salted fries. We don’t have that sir. Well that’s what I got the last 3 times I came here.

That would be a good bet.....their French fries are deep fried in Canola oil so the muzziez should have no problem eating them as long as they are hot....!
Still working on that promotion, eh?
This is what happens when you forget that the customer is always right.
When I do go to a fast food restaurant I always order fresh fries (fast food fries are only just bearable when they right out of the fryer) and I take them back when they try to foist cold ones on me.
Only rarely do I get negative feedback from the counter staff when I protest that the fries are cold. I have yet to have to pull my axe out.
I also would advise everyone that you invariably get better service inside the restaurant than at the drive through. It is much more difficult to harass a customer face to face than when you are looking down at them from a window.
Why didn’t he call 911 like everyone else?
