While MSNBC is flacking for the administration, they overlook the fact that the people signing up in the news article are free pony people, heavily subsidized premiums and possibly pre existing conditions.A 61 year old enrollee who was able to sign up after two months of trying and whose premiums for her and her unemployed husband will be 3 bucks a month. The fouled up website they are trying to play down is small potatoes next to the real problem that the early enrollees are primarily folks getting subsidies and pre existing condition folks. Where are the stories about overjoyed healthy non subsidized people enrolling who will be paying the bill for these overjoyed free pony folks?

I didn’t see the part where she thanked the taxpayers for subsidizing her insurance. Must have missed it....

The young and healthy are so delightful, and since they never get sick, they say:

let 'em pay, let 'em pay, let 'em pay.

It’ll only cost her $3.19 a month to cover herself and her husband.

You're welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

A medical transcriptionist doesnt makes a hell of a lot more than the subsidy level. This is an out and out lie.

. . . All she has to do now is confirm her payment and eligibility with Humana, her new insurance provider. “I am kind of afraid to call them because I feel like it’s a trick,” Smith confesses. “I am afraid I will call and they will say ‘JoAnn who?’”

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

This is why Obama and his crew have been so annoyed with that dang website, its failure put a damper on the flood of heartwarming stories of deserving folks getting lots of “free” and subsidized health-care goodies.

Expect to see these stories constantly on the Obama propaganda service (aka the mainstream media) from now on.

Just think of all those heartless Republicans who would rather give tax cuts to their billionaire buddies than health care to such deserving folks.

According to CoveredCa site for hubby and me (around the same age) our premiums unsubsidized would be $1200 per mnth. So they are receiving at least $12k a year from the taxpayer.

Many are finding you have to call to see if the application worked. Many who signed up are walking around with no insurance.

Also, so far it seems 90+% of those signing up for Obamacare are takers, not tax payers.

The whole thing should go BOOM!

Yes, the points you make are very valid. This woman is EXACTLY the type of person who will be determined to obtain insurance. And I certainly don’t blame her for that. But she and her husband will be a net negative on the system as designed.

This article smacks of Bravo Sierra to me. Since it is sourced from MSNBC, it IS Bravo Sierra.

Smith’s employer doesn’t provide health insurance. “They took a vote at the company and people wanted more money in their pockets,” she says. And business has been thin. “I have had four paycuts in one year,” says Smith, who estimates she will earn $23,000 this year for her 40-hour a week job.

And how much unemployment does your husband get?

been looking forward to getting subsidized coverage for herself and her husband Eric, 56, who’s unemployed
