Simply put, Championship Saturday delivered.

The regular season is over, with the exception of the annual Army-Navy game next week, and the postseason picture will become crystal clear tonight.

So let's take a look at my final bowl projections for the 2013-14 postseason.

I remember that live. I got back from work a bit early, turned on the TV, and one minute later Woody runs out and punches this poor guy. I couldn't believe what I was watching.

One of my dad's best friends was the President of OSU at the time (had to do the firing), and like the poor Clemson player, hoped he would not be the answer to a trivia question twenty years later........

... how long before we have to read an article on by some loser liberal journalist on how offensive the “Seminole” mascot is?

They tried a few years back but the Seminole tribe told them to go pound sand. FSU has been very smart about having actual members of the tribe be involved in all their athletics, including the warrior that rides in before football games and plants the spear.

My son went to UVA. A hokie is a made-up word, the winner of a cheer contest. It's simply come to mean a loyal Virginia Tech fan.

Given the use of the Hokie Bird, I should have added it the other day to my list of universities with two names/mascots.
