Simply put, Championship Saturday delivered.
The regular season is over, with the exception of the annual Army-Navy game next week, and the postseason picture will become crystal clear tonight.
So let's take a look at my final bowl projections for the 2013-14 postseason.

It’s all about selling tickets, and far more Sooner fans will travel to New Orleans that would Duck fans.
It has absolutely nothing to do with which match-up would be a better game.
So with FSU back in the National Prominence and the Winston issue laid to rest, how long before we have to read an article on by some loser liberal journalist on how offensive the “Seminole” mascot is?
FSU is going to steamroll the Tigers, or the War Eagle, or whatever mascot the people from the barn decide to bring with them.
“Which Clemson player will Urban Meyer punch? “
All of them, I hope!
Go Bucks!
I appreciate your sentiment, but please say "Go Tigers." "War Eagle" is simply a battle cry.
Each year there's confusion about why Auburn has two mascots. My brother, who's an Auburn grad, replies: I don't know? Why is Stanford the Cardinal with a tree as a mascot?
Why is Alabama the Crimson Tide with an Elephant as a mascot?
Why is Georgia Tech the Yellow Jackets with the Rambling Wreck as a mascot?
Why is Miami the Hurricanes with an Ibis (or whatever it is) as a mascot? Why is Tennessee the volunteers with a bloodhound as a mascot?
Why is Western Kentucky the Hilltoppers, with a giant Elmo as a mascot?
Why is UNC the Tarheels with that special breed of sheep as a mascot?
I stop here, but he can go on for minutes.
It’s also about the fact that the Big 12 and the SEC are working on a contract to match up in the Sugar Bowl in the post-BCS era.
Please see #24.
Who will be Texas' next head coach?
Have you ever watched a replay of that incident on YouTube? The announcers never say that Woody punched the Clemson player. Despite repeated replays, they’re afraid to point the finger at Woody.
Hopefully their former "Head Coach in Waiting."
The Semenoles are offensive no matter what.
Stanford Cardinal is the color cardinal and not the bird or a religious figure. The Christmas tree is only the Stanford band’s official mascot, the school has none. They once voted and the students had choices between the tree, a french fry, or a smoking manhole. The tree won but it never went any further.
Out of 123 Div 1 teams this season 70 are going to bowls. There were 80 bowl eligible teams. There’s a moratorium on new bowls. As with NASCAR a new bowl or race cant come into being without an old one folding. I think there is a push to add a couple of more bowls.
I think there are too many bowls.
A tiger is just a petapussy, a WAR EAGLE, may be just a battle cry, but it connotes the right sense.
Besides, I don't really root for Auburn, {my son did get his masters there}, I'm a Penn State fan {and we really did win all those games that don't exist} but against Alabama and any Florida team... FLY WITH THE WAR EAGLES.
I’m a big time Sooner fan - this has been their second worst team (fundamental-wise) in the past 15 years.
Alabama vs. Baylor would have been an awesome game.
Oklahoma State vs. Missouri will be fun.
The tree, not a Christmas tree, is on Stanford’s official seal.
Given that he used “barn” you know he’s a butthurt bama fan...
I don’t get it, either, and I’m an OU fan. I know these bowl games are set up so that the winner of certain conferences are chosen, but this one hurt. It should have been Baylor vs Alabama and OU vs UCF.
I thoroughly enjoyed the miracle in Stillwater last week, but beating Alabama would be a miracle and then some. We’ll see.
My hope is that the Alabama team eats at a bad Mexican restaurant the night before, or that they are so disappointed by being in this game instead of the national championship that they won’t be up to snuff.
Is that a bad thing to wish for? ;-)
Ditto!
And what is a Hokie? ;-)
It will pain me greatly, but I’ll root for TX if you’ll root for OU. ;-)
