Not sure about the others but I tried to watch a couple episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise. Found it very boring and was not surprised when it got the axe. That being said, the reruns of Next Generation showing on BBC America also leave me snoring now. And I enjoyed that show when it was originally being run in the 80's and early 90's.

I don’t think it is boredom that is off putting, I believe when you finally grow up, you realize the semi-utopian vision that these shows subtlety (or not so) promote (based on a powerful, but just world-government) is never going to come to pass, because it cannot. The world of the future is going to look more like Detroit. Furthermore, there are no Vulcans out there ready to impart to us light-speed technology. Ergo, no world peace and plenty, and no weekend cruises to Alpha Centuri. I think our time is now better spent Freeping than Treking (or is it Trekking?).
