They expect me to believe the parking garage didn’t have any sort of video surveillance?
Really?
Sorry but a $10,000 bike would share the room with me. NOT a smart move leaving it in the parking garage, maybe not smart enough to own a bike that expensive.
Perfect!!!
Thank You
A comedian back in the 80’s was saying that anyone that bought a $10k bottle of wine deserved to come home one evening and discover his teenagers made “spritzers” of it and drank it with friends.
who in the world left a $10,000 bike in the back of a truck? i am disgusted by people who steal from others... how dare they... but in this case, i think it was deserved... que idiota!
I paid 10,500 for my buick century
In my experience, most victims have allowed themselves to become victims. Who here would leave anything worth $10,000 in the back of a pickup? I don’t care how secure the garage looked. Put the bike in the cab of the truck. Would you leave that much cash in the bed of a truck?
When you pull into a parking deck either on your ticket or on a sign nearby is a disclaimer that says "park at your own risk" and "management not responsible for stolen or damaged property". What does it benefit the deck owner to put in thousands of dollars worth of cameras?
Because those statements might not protect against a really good tort lawyer?
Because you want to make your parking garage safe for the little old ladies walking to their cars?
Because most insurance companies give discounts for putting up video surveillance?
etc.
Probably stolen by an obama supporter — maybe even one of his sons.
a $5 can of spraypaint will have it looking like a mountain bike from WalMart in no time at all
I'd get it its own bed.
And having a video that says "Look! It's easy to steal from our property!" would?
Because you want to make your parking garage safe for the little old ladies walking to their cars?
Camera's don't make a property that much safer. They just give the police something to work with after the crime is done.
LOL! Good post. Maybe the thief rode off to a convenience store to buy some Skittles.
I agree with your points entirely.
It’s just hard to believe that there still exist pockets of unsurveilled public access property anymore.
I’m going to make 2 bets here:
1. there was video of the parking lot.
2. that video no longer exists and the theft was an inside job by an employee or one of their buddies.
I’m sure the thief needed $ 50.00 bucks more than the Pinko needed a 10K bicycle.
