It’s not going 185 mph that kills you, it the decelerating from 185 to 0 in a tenth of a second when you hit an immovable object.

As this guy realized.

But not for long.

I always say, I’m not afraid of flying, it’s the crashing I don’t like.

THis guy had a child.

What an idiot.

The victims of the crash of the metro north deserve a ton more attention than this immature man.

I’m sorry. But he had a family, and I am just so sick of ridiculous behavior in fathers (and I mean all guys who screw around out of wedlock)/husbands being acceptable).

WE have a cultural problem and this kind of crap is a huge part of it.

He wasn’t driving and the police report says the car was going 45. He was a passenger in the vehicle, so what does anything he said about how fast he’d gone in the past have to do with anything?

It’s not the fall that kills you; it’s the sudden stop at the end.

Perhaps not. The things you see passing by when you're flying on the deck at high speed are already well behind you by the time they register in your brain. It was likely lights out for his rational mind, his spirit standing next to the ball of fire wondering why the light around him seemed so peculiar, why he could feel the terror of the other drivers witnessing the accident.
