Anyone who opposes the Affordable Care Act is a subhuman. It is a great law but lying republicans are trying to destroy it. I signed up with no problem on the website. Republicans want to repeal my new insurance. Obama is a hero!

Morning and Merry Christmas to you and yours Sg, a few days early but not on the Morning. Does that make sense? Making sense is hard.

Pat is 12 today. This has cosmic significance, because now he can participate in a library program for readers aged 12-18. If they turn in a slip about a book they’ve read, before January 7, they’re entered in a drawing for a prize.

He must now read all 900+ pages of Red Storm Rising within one 24 hour period!
Gauntlet reading, not for the weak!
(Yes, I did do exactly that once. Read all 900+ within the same 24 hour period. Finished reading in a little less than 18 hours.)

Darks, had the privilege of meeting a young man yesterday that reports for the Marines on Monday (tomorrow). Spoke with his Mother and Her Hero. This Mother also has another Marine. This Hero of Hers, His Brother, entered three months ago. The young Man I spoke with yesterday has the opportunity to enter as an Officer but has chosen instead to enter as Enlisted. I almost cried, while speaking with Him. This young Man has a Great Head on His Shoulders. Made me proud of Him, His Brother, His Mother, His Father and made me proud of our Nation's young.

I wonder about the things he didn’t put in the books, or the things he put in that nobody noticed.
Like: in one book, Jack Ryan meets an agent who was removed from field service due to injuries, and he is embarrassed to talk about it.
In Sum of All Fears the soviet sub commander mentions having tackled a purse snatcher while on temporary assignment in Washington DC and having his superior officer freak out over the possibility that the guy who got tackled was a “spy”..who had both knees shattered.
