Ryan Truex gets 5 race sponsorship deal:
Race fans heading to Speedweeks or watching on television will have to keep a keener eye for the No. #83 BK Racing Toyota Camry. The traditional BK Racing colors have been replaced with black, header pipes and flames of Johnson City, TN and Oxnard, CA based Borla Exhaust. For over three decades, Borla has been the leader in the manufacture and design of high-performance exhaust systems for racing and the street. Borla Exhaust will also adorn the #83 BK Racing Toyota Camry in four additional races to be announced at a later date during the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.(BK Racing), see an image of the car on the #83 team paint schemes page.(1-23-2014)
Farm Rich, the primary partner that adorned the #34 Ford for Front Row Motorsports' first trip to Victory Lane, will return to the team for a second straight season. The frozen snacks and appetizers brand will be the primary sponsor of David Ragan's Ford Fusion at Phoenix International Raceway in March. In its first-ever foray into NASCAR last May, Farm Rich enjoyed being thrust into the spotlight as Ragan earned Front Row's first team victory in a dramatic, come-from-behind win in the Farm Rich Ford at Talladega Superspeedway. The company later returned as the primary sponsor for a second race with Ragan at Richmond International Raceway in September. A leading brand of Rich Products Corporation, Farm Rich is based in St. Simons Island, Ga., and features a successful portfolio of products sold at grocery and club stores nationwide. The Farm Rich logo will appear on Ragan's uniform throughout the 2014 Sprint Cup Series schedule.(Front Row Motorsports)(1-23-2014)

Thanks, kind of like Formula 1 and Indycar have been using.
Although in Nascar, it’s far more common for somebody to come from midpack qualifying and win a race.
Yep, I guess we’ll see what happens.
Race Fans our team has been set up by 4kids dad with support from JohnW and mabarker1

mabarker1 posted an interesting note about Nascar considering changing the Chase rules again.
I nominate mabarker1 as our news poster for the threads!

A brother, a contemporary, a rival, a colleague and a friend will all take the stage to induct this year's Class of 2014 into the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Richard Petty, Waddell Wilson, Harry Gant, Humpy Wheeler and Blake Shelton will induct the fifth class - Maurice Petty, Fireball Roberts, Jack Ingram, Tim Flock and Dale Jarrett on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C. The five legends, who account for 15 NASCAR championships, will also be joined on stage by five current stars, combining for 15 national series championships of their own. Aric Almirola, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart will all take part in the evening's festivities.
The Induction Ceremony begins at 7:00pm/et and will air live on FOX Sports 1, Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
As long lasting as they are varied, this year's inductee-inductor relationships are uniquely special each with a story all its own:
Maurice Petty built the engines that propelled his brother Richard to seven NASCAR championships and most of his 200 wins.
Fireball Roberts won the 1963 Southern 500 with an engine built by Waddell Wilson.
Jack Ingram and Harry Gant had a fierce rivalry that helped build the popularity of what is now the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Tim Flock worked with Humpy Wheeler at Charlotte Motor Speedway for more than 30 years.
After an introduction by former teammate Elliott Sadler nearly a decade ago, Dale Jarrett and country music star Blake Shelton have become close friends.
The NASCAR Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will kick off with a media red carpet entrance in the Great Hall at the NASCAR Hall of Fame at 4:15pm/et. The formal presentations begin during the Induction Dinner, where the inductees will receive their NASCAR Hall of Fame jackets.
Chris Economaki will also be honored as the third recipient of the Squier-Hall Award for NASCAR Media Excellence.(NASCAR)(1-24-2013)
NASCAR announced Thursday that it has reinstated Ty Norris, an executive with Michael Waltrip Racing. Norris had been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR last Sept. 9 as part of the penalties assessed to MWR following the sanctioning bodys review of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race Sept. 7 at Richmond International Raceway. Norris remains on indefinite NASCAR probation.(NASCAR)
Statement from Ty Norris, Executive Vice President at Michael Waltrip Racing:
"I appreciate NASCARs action today and respect their position. I am focused forward and dedicated to the success of Michael Waltrip Racing and the continued growth of a sport that has been my home for the past 24 years."(1-23-2014)

Thanks,
We might make 'Degga if have the $$$, No Charlotte for Us traffic is a HUGE mess and every race the SP/CMPD/SD all gang up and change the traffic flow just to keep everybody confused and write tickets to increase the revenue around here. We stay at home in comfort a watch the ZOO!
Got wetter going for cover under the Stands than if We had stayed out in the rain.
The Track Restrooms were NASTY both days (rain out & Race night): no paper products, NOT clean, no soap, overflowing trash cans.
On a 180 the Port-a-potties in the parking lot were PERFECT!, Clean, Paper products and Hand Sanitizer...
Check all shirts if You get any, I got some to send to people and didn't open them up due to the rains. Got home and was getting ready to ship and luckily I opened them up. They were crappy 2nd's/misprints. Folded over wrinkles when screened leaving white stripes on them.
Did get the shirts replaced by calling them.
I did lodge complaints with EVERYONE I talked to on the phone and via E-Mail when they sent a "get your tickets for upcoming races" E-Mail. After 3 rounds of that they finally removed Me from the list.
I will say that everyone on the phone calls seemed genuinely concerned about my complaints and passed Me up the phone chain after listening, saying "please tell this to our higher ups"
On the upside We were there for JPM's Inaugural Jet Drier Celebrity Roast, Brad starting Twittergate w/Pics of Turn 3 from the Backstretch (leading to the banning of all electronic devices from the cars during on track activity) & the debut of the most watched Tide Laundry Powder Infomercial ever.
Thanks for all your Nascar updates
No problem. You get signed up for FRFL?
No. I tried and failed :(
For those starved for a bit of tv racing, the Rolex 24 hour starts tomorrow at Daytona.
