Epoch Times analyzed 37 incidents that span from September 18, 1992 through November 24, 2013 using news reports and information from local governments. The analysis shows that the knockout game—where people try to knockout a random person with one punch—stretches back much further and was more widespread than previously thought. The research also points to many of knockout game perpetrators being black. In 18 of the researched incidents, black people were confirmed as the perpetrators. Many were arrested and charged with crimes, and some of those were sentenced to time in jail. In another 15 of the incidents, race wasn’t given, and there are no photographs available of the accused assailants. In some of these cases, the suspects were never caught. In the other four incidents, race was given and the perpetrator or perpetrators were white, Hispanic, and/or Indian. Additionally, out of about 10 incidents reported on by the Riverfront Times in St. Louis in 2011—the story won an award from the National Association of Black Journalists—all of the “players” were black and all but two of the victims were white. Race and Gender of Victims In the 37 incidents analyzed by Epoch Times, 15 of the victims were confirmed white. Another 18 victims were not identified by race. The other victims were: one Asian, one Middle Eastern, one black, and one Hispanic.
Diluting this issue by researching “since the beginning of time..” is just silly. The present issue is the modern day phenomenon of sucker punching people for fun. The issue seems to have begun a couple of months ago, not in 249 B.C.

Now, since it goes on to say that in 15 of the 37 incidents, no race was given (about 40%) -- and in 18 of the 37 cases -- the race of the perp(s) was black (about 49%)...
...what'd be interesting is to find out how much of that racial info came from the media reports vs. the "local governments'" sources.
I think people are over analyzing this. Being feared and intimidating others is basic to the gangster life. The Mafia and the Irish gangs can be examples mostly from the past. With the blacks, racial resentment and hatred means they attack whites in addition to killing each other daily. As my wife would say, “The want a big face”.
Why weren’t the victims identified by race? When you answer that question honestly, you’ll begin to under the problem with the media, and then with a liberal/leftist society.
It has been going on for a long time but picked up since Obama has been the chief proponent that Blacks should be allowed to injure of kill Whites whenever they want.

There are literally thousands of similar incidents happening all over America which do not technically meet the definition of Knockout game but the intentions and results are the same. For instance several White kids are mistakenly let off a bus in a Black area of town and are set upon just for being White and defenseless.
It would probably be a good idea for any male to go about as Socrates was accused of doing. He was said to look around often glaring at the people around him. This happened to me the last day of my freshman year of highschool (1994). This short fat black kid walked right up to me and punched me in the face. I could have easily beat the hell out of him, but he had 25 of his “brothers” standing behind him. What makes this even worse, was it happened in full site of one of the deans of my school. She did absolutely nothing about it, but ask the kid “Why did you do that”? He gave no answer, and she walked away.
For the next 3 years, I avoided black kids in the hallways of my high school as much as I could. I guess people can call me racist. I don’t care. I thought it was just keeping myself safe.
The first time I witnessed it was about 1974. I was walking to work along 7th Avenue near Macy’s in NYC and a tall black man was walking ahead of me. Suddenly, his arm shot out and he bashed a white man in the side of the head with his fist. I was very young at the time and quickly crossed the street to avoid the freak. I never saw it again.

It goes back to at least the 1960s/early ‘70s, though it may not have had a name. It happened at my high school quite often.
I was beat upon in a Sears in Houston TX by about 6 older black kids in the late 60’s or early ‘70’s. It was totally unprovoked. I was 8-10 years old.
