The analysis shows that the knockout game—where people try to knockout a random person with one punch—stretches back much further and was more widespread than previously thought. The research also points to many of knockout game perpetrators being black. In 18 of the researched incidents, black people were confirmed as the perpetrators. Many were arrested and charged with crimes, and some of those were sentenced to time in jail. In another 15 of the incidents, race wasn’t given, and there are no photographs available of the accused assailants. In some of these cases, the suspects were never caught. In the other four incidents, race was given and the perpetrator or perpetrators were white, Hispanic, and/or Indian. Additionally, out of about 10 incidents reported on by the Riverfront Times in St. Louis in 2011—the story won an award from the National Association of Black Journalists—all of the “players” were black and all but two of the victims were white. If they want to show a time history of how the racial component of this form of violence has changed over time, that’s one thing, but it’s downright deceptive to include data from 20 years ago and then say “it has been going on a lot longer, and it is less racial, than people think”. Why, it’s almost like the authors of the study are trying to obfuscate the present situation.

Now, since it goes on to say that in 15 of the 37 incidents, no race was given (about 40%) -- and in 18 of the 37 cases -- the race of the perp(s) was black (about 49%)...
...what'd be interesting is to find out how much of that racial info came from the media reports vs. the "local governments'" sources.

It has been going on for a long time but picked up since Obama has been the chief proponent that Blacks should be allowed to injure of kill Whites whenever they want.

Overanalyzing...perhaps...the points you made are good...

Yet, the media tends not to report race -- whatever color the perp is.

(That would hardly constitute "OVERanalysis" if basic facts/trends are being ignored).

So is that simply "PC journalism" -- that race is irrelevant to journalists & editors?

And broadening this, is reporting the race of the perp vital with EVERY media crime report? [And given that such venues hardly cover even 10% of local crime in suburban/urban areas, can't the MSM be accused of censoring crime period -- along with its details?]

Sure, racial hatred is central to the black on white crime and the media is dishonest (so is Police Commissioner Kelly in NYC). My question is whether it would be a crime to pop one of those knockout Yahoos as they were running away from their latest victim? I would think that such a shooting would be permissible if done as a protective measure to keep the perpetrator from committing such a terrorist act on any more people.
