A woman was shot dead after a hunter mistook her for a monkey it has been reported.
The 19-year-old man was on a hunting trip in Saudi when he saw what he thought was a monkey sitting in the top of a tree harvesting fruit.
'He aimed his gun and shot. The bullet hit the woman in the chest. When the man came near her, he was shocked to find she is a woman,' Emirates 24/7 said.

I see no need to apologize; it kind of fit with the topic at hand, ironically...

She couldn’t help the fact that she looked like a monkey.
Saudi men can’t differentiate between a woman and a monkey anyway because they seldom see the women un-covered.

More than one element of this story doesn’t sound right. Who knew they had monkeys and fruit trees (aside from date palms, of course) in Saudi Arabia?

saudi “hunter” sees woman in a tree, shoots her and claims he thought she was a monkey.
That about sums up how women are treated in that islamic rat’s nest.
