What Business of the U.N. Is the Operation of the Alamo?
American Thinker ^ | 11/13/2013 | Victor Keith

In a possible development that would have Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and William Travis rolling in their graves, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is considering designating the Alamo a World Heritage Site. Such a designation brings along a myriad of restrictions, and although proponents of the designation, such as San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro, insist that the State of Texas would still have authority over the site, many serious concerns of the people of Texas are not being addressed.

Same complaint about all world heritage site designations to any piece of property inside the US. The u.n. has no business in placing any restrictions on any of them. There are more than a few in the country. But then again if we ever want to be in compliance with agenda 21 and the man and biodiversity programs, we got to play along. NOT! As for juli-anne castro, his mom is/was a major player in la raza. It's Austin after all.

It’s not much of a problem. The State of Texas just has to cover the cost of building a mosque on the site.

I believe there would be more than 185 defenders to oppose that nonsense if it ever came about...

So if they were to make the Alamo a World Heritage site what restrictions would it place on the site that don’t already exist?

I’ve been saying for the longest time, even though the UN campus is an excellent example of mid-20th century architecture, use eminent domain and tear the damn place down, preferably with the tyrants, despots and terrorists in it. Then sell the site to Donald Trump for $1 and let him negotiate with the Mohawks and the NFL to build a casino and stadium in it’s place so we can bring the Jets and Giants back to NYC where they belong!

President General Antonio López de Santa Anna captured the Alamo on March 6, 1836.

President Barack Hussein Obama de Barry Soetoro presumably surrenders it some 178 years later.

Gotta love this guy and his fundamental transformation.

The principles for which men of the Alamo dies are the very antithesis of what the current “UN” represents.

What treaty gives them jurisdiction over the United States? Or are we no longer sovereign?

US out of the UN
UN out of the US

I know Obama nominated it and all, but I just don’t see the Alamo as being World Heritage Site material. Other than Texas and and the U.S., and maybe as a sore point to Mexico, it doesn’t have a lot of significance. Certainly not global significance. I don’t think it’s going to happen; certainly it light of how Obama’s annoying the rest of the world.

As long as Conservatives continue to cave, every time they’re pushed, the bullies will continue to push.

Punch the bullies in the nose!
