the answer is we let them own the media, and we were cowed into not saying anything.

Please permit this ole vet to share his thoughts.

I believed it started when prayer was forbidden in our public schools.

Then the killing of babies in the womb.

And now accepting sodomite marriage.

We may be at the point of no return. :-(

My little girl came home from kindergarten this week and sang “My Country Tis of Thee” for me. And she said she needed a picture of Uncle Joey for the display at school because they are honoring the Vets.

It’s not over. It will never be over.

It makes ya feel like you’re taking crazy pills don’t it?

Just hold the line (which starts at your property line), that’s all any of us can do.

13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

maybe i’m out of line here. if so, i apologize in advance if i’m giving offense.

but if you’re changing the way you drive because you see a stupid bumper sticker. it’s time for you to find a way to give up that anger. i tell my kids to give it up to God.

it helps me to realize that everything that is happening to us, our families, our beloved nation is all part of His plan. We can’t understand it in its glorious complexity and completeness. fortunately, He’s given us a guide on how to play our part, and we can do that for Him.

well, God bless you and all yours.

I feel a great sense of remorse and responsibility that I didn’t do anything to stop the creeping liberalism that gave rise to the America hating radical Marxist that now resides in the White House.

Don't beat yourself up. You were betrayed by those you trusted to honor and fulfill their oaths of office. While you were working hard and pursuing the American Dream, they slowly became a new ruling class. An oligarchy that quietly chipped away at the foundations of your freedoms and the pillars of the American way of life.

Sure, they openly pissed you off from time to time, but that was no reason to storm the Bastille and overthrow the bastards. Surely, they weren't intentionally selling the store behind our backs! No, we could just vote them out when they went soft, or voted the wrong way too many times. Nothing to be alarmed about.

I'm sure that you (like many of us here) only realized the depth and breadth of their real intentions when the Democrats took over Congress in 2007. It was then that we began to see them push the Socialist pedal to the metal, and sprint toward the finish line.

And with the election of The Won, they turned on the turbo booster in a mad dash to Utopia. That's when we all woke up in horror.

But in a way, it's a good thing. They woke up the sleeping giant, who's now fully awake and on full tactical alert. I think history will show that this is the moment when the leftists blew it.

“How the hell did we go from the Ronald Reagan years to the low point we are at currently? And baby,we ain’t seen nothin’ yet.”

I’ve thought about this a lot. I think the Reagan years were just a nice bump in the downward trajectoryl that began with Lyndon B Johnson assuming the presidency. Prior to Johnson’s “Great Society” America’s poor constantly moved around the country looking for opportunities - they had no other choice. As they moved they provided cheap labor for growing industries and some found upward mobility. Once the Federal government starting subsidizing poverty this upward mobility stopped. There are numerous poor inner-city communities that have been frozen in place since the mid 1960s. I see this as the reinstatement of slavery, this time to the government dole. Also, after signing the Medicare bill Johnson is reported to have said “they’ll never be able to vote against us again.”

Once part of a society realizes that they can vote themselves a portion of everyone else’s wealth, and a part of the government realizes that they can stay in power and enrich themselves enabling this, it’s only a matter of time before a society collapses.

Reagan was a ray of hope. Unfortunately he chose Bush as his VP, which is what led to where we are now.

All across this beautiful country are people who are going through it with you. Hold on to that and know that you’re not as alone as it sometimes seems.

It is mind-boggling. That is, how quickly America has gone from the greatest achievement in human history, down to being such a depraved sewer of socialism, faggotry, dope, and abject degeneracy. Everything once regarded as decent and virtuous is attacked and derided, while everything once regarded vile, foul and immoral is now celebrated. The country is a grotesque shell of what it once was.

Winessing America’s ever-more rapid decay has led me to ponder odd potentialities that I never imagined I could conceive of just a few short years ago. Such as, with the country continuing its embrace of evil and tyranny, could there be a scenario in which the whole historical paradigm of America and the rest of the world become entirely reversed? That is, America used to export positive values, in terms of freedom and free markets. What happens when America reaches the rock-bottom of this path, and is (accurately) seen as exporting nothing but poison and evil? Will there be a countervailing global opposition? Oddball things I now find myself pondering.

I too wonder if we are past the point of no return. I agree the church in America seems to have lost its voice and as another commenter posted prayer in schools, abortion, and the absence of a true religious revival in our country for 50 to 100 yrs. is not a good sign. I can’t help but think God is about to judge our nation. This is an old article but worth another read as to Obama’s goals for our nation. http://www.dailypaul.com/303742/a-gorilla-in-the-room-by-wayne-allyn-root
What bothers me most is not Obama but the lack of outrage among our citizens. They no longer have the ability to discern evil when it stares them in the face. If you won’t get concerned now then how bad does it have to get before you act? Another great little video on youtube is also worth a review http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EH_Izul6J5M America we need to be on our knees in prayer and on our feet at the ballot box.

Well at least the Mexicans in Texas haven’t taken over the voting yet like here in ca

It’s over here. Everyone. White brown black green votes D

But the weather is still damn good and the girls and trees are pretty too

So I’m staying

And in this hippie town in Marin county everyone believes in karma do I don’t ever have to lock crisp or watch my small kids too close

( but close enough! Cars are still driven by people in a hurry far too often)

Anyway. Where you choose to live is very important. But mostly for the environs

Fla has some incredible waterways Incredible

And beaches too!

I should also add that, for me, homo-marriage is the end game, the belwether. It’s not entirely this issue alone, but it serves as the cultural symbol of America’s decay. America’s descent into evil. If America does indeed embrace it, without fight, my interest in the preservation of the republic comes to a complete end.

I’ll never forget an Argentinian warning William F. Buckley on his ‘Firing Line’ show that this country was going the Argentine way. When was it? I think during the Reagan years; I was a young lad then. Buckley dismissed the warning. Argentina, which 80 years ago was one of the top six world economies, has never recovered from Peronism despite having several years of military dictatorship. This is where we are going, if we’re not there already! No country in history has returned from the welfare state misery. Obamafoams are forever, foo stams are forever... continue the list yourself

Good (albeit sorrowful) rant.

It’s easy to see in hindsight that “we let them” get away with this, that, and the other thing, to our own destruction as a nation.

But why does this type of history repeat? It’s because at the time, it always seems like a good idea... mercy, tolerance, compassion that is. A good-hearted people (I don’t mean mindless, bleeding heart types, just decent honest citizens) want to give the benefit of the doubt. It’s the default mode of a good people. It’s simply not natural for them to assume the worst in others and draw a cold, fixed line in the sand. Just because, if nothing else, they might be wrong. There’s a deep love of and sense of justice that is inherent in this attitude.

The history of Israel (ancient and modern) is full of missteps - their being too kind and compassionate to people who hate them and want to wipe them out. And ironically IMO that peculiar type of disobedience marked Jacob as the true heir to the promises given to Abraham. Contrast Esav/Amalek... would *they* hold back from wiping out nations for any reason at all, much less out of a sense of mercy? Amalek preyed upon the weak and weary.

Obama is where he is because his like-minded Amalekite predator voters put him there, many eager to vote multiple times to void out lawful opposition.

An abuser is keen to place the blame on his victim. We the People are the true heirs to our nation, not the bully abusers and ingrate interlopers, try as they might.

Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

My God, what have I become?

Even better question for the Lord is what CAN you become?

Lamech is not suggested as a role model, incidentally.

When you don't go to God, you go to the dogs.
