The trigger on my Winchester Model 70 Featherweight (30-06) is the best I've ever had.

And, I love the curve in the forend:

Everyone will have their favorites. Most are excellent.

That would be my choice as well. A rack-grade Win70 in ‘06.

Second choice, rack-grade Win70 in .270 Winchester, especially if one is in the western US.

Simple, easily supported recommendations.

I’d also stick with either a 4X or 6X fixed power scope.
