You are the one that used this phrase...
"The difference between us and them?"

And I am saying you are wasting your time thinking there is any difference.

If there is any kind of civil breakdown, it might just be that a liberal saves your life. Or that a conservative is the one that kills you.

Politics will go out the window overnight. If you believe your political leanings will save you if the SHTF, I think you are misleading yourself.

Is the character in this video clip an "us" or a "them"?

Freedom loving people will still love freedom.

Tyrants will still hate freedom.

I see what you are saying, but here you go. From my perspective:

Us: People who are individualists, self-reliant, moral, mannered (more or less), liberty-minded individuals who know what 'freedom' truly is. We adhere to a document called The United States Constitution.

Them: Collectivsts, who want to cram everyone into a common mold (themselves excepted, of course), cheerleaders of the welfare state, immoral, purveyors of 'social justice' (whatever that is) and 'the international community' (which doesn't exist). The Constitution for them is mainly an impediment.

Granted, that's pretty black and white. But you get the idea.

Note that this definition reveals a flaw in your position, since with lines drawn as such, the liberal will not save your life because he will be the one trying to kill you. Because you're 'too rich' or some other excuse.

And yeah, there'll be exceptions to that. There always are.
