Does anyone think that there will be a US House "GOP""Leadership" shake-up?

. Does any Freeper think he’d have done a better job that John Boehner with the challenges he’s faced?

Is that you Karl Rove? Are you that utterly naive? Your pathetic statement deserves nothing but laughter?

No. You’ll see them easily swept from power because of their handling of the mess. Remember, this is a nation in which a minimum of 50% of the people are dumb as bricks.

Conservatives need to CLEAN HOUSE in the primaries...beware in ‘open primary’ states where Dems will cross over to vote for least conservative strategy.

I know he isn’t a tea party loyalist, but I think he and Cantor and McCarthy did about as good as they could have with the hand they were dealt.

Okay maybe I'm all wrong about Boehner and Cantor.
And the past couple of years have been difficult for everyone (including me) so I may have forgotten some things.

I'm not being sarcastic here-please tell me some of the good things that Boehner and Cantor have accomplished as leaders.

Jarrett won’t allow her pet poodle to retire. She’s got him trained to poop on the Constitution and that’s where he’s going to remain.

Haven’t read the thread yet, but my initial guess, is No. Boehner may go, but he’ll be replaced by either Cantor, Ryan or McCarthy, so there will be no real change.

OK, I read it. Still No “shake-up”. The leadership is so busy spinning this defeat into something good, they’ll be too emotionally invested in the effort, and they’ll think their goodness has carried the day. No way any either Boehner or any of the three I mentioned will step aside and allow a Trey Gowdy to take over.

“They don’t care about your single vote.”

Sadly true, which is why the GOP is failing to win much of anything, much less their abject surrenders of our Constitutional rights. Unfortunately for them, my single vote is one of millions of like minded voters who made up nearly half of the votes for the Republicans. After this fiasco, millions more of us will as a matter of principle withhold any further votes for any Establishment Republican. Worse, many of the disgruntled voters will not vote for any Republican here on out in the future elections. The GOP has in effect become about as useful to true conservative voters as teats on a boar.

Given about a century of ineffectiveness against the Democrats, he time has come when it is more useful to lose as a third party who may have a future than it is to lose as the second party who has no future or hope for any effectiveness than the past century of failures. At least a new party and a new leadership has a chance for growing into becoming an effective force, provided of course the old leadership can be kept from infiltrating and subverting the new party as well.

I’ve been waiting for the next “batch” of Conservatives since Reagan. I’ve given more than enough time for the GOP to get its act together. They haven’t, so I’m done with them.
