If the case can be made that the fireworks were actually a form of booby trap, he’ll go to prison. But I doubt it can.
And, frankly, a safe is the “safest” place you can put them. It is very responsible. Sometimes you can’t protect people from their own stupid acts.

So two aspiring Rhodes scholars lose their lives trying to test their welding skills. It’s just a damn shame. (snicker)

Investigators don't believe the men knew there were fireworks inside the safe. This is obviously an OSHA violation.
Thieves have a civil right to be safe while pursuing their chosen occupation.

I’ll bet the problem is that these were professional grade fireworks and, while some fireworks are legal for individual purchase in NH, these sort probably require a license to use or even possess.

Well I mean, how inconsiderate not to warn potential burglars that there were fireworks inside.
(That’s sarcasm, son)

You know, I’ll bet these two Einsteins would have thought such a warning was just a bogus sign to try to scare them away.

WOw, now the news is the Real Life version of the Coyote and Road Runner series.
Was the name of the Place, Acme landscaping and Fireworks? :)

Poor thieves can not safely torch a safe.
Boy! Talk about a hostile work place.
What is this country coming to.
