Everything else, including European and Russian news works fine. It’s got so bad I won’t click on any of the major media links at FR, but FR itself works fine.

Any ideas anyone?”

While you are sitting at a frozen screen, watch what little ‘dot com’ thing is ‘waiting for analytics dot something, com’, then if you are using FF, in your ad blocker custom filters, add that to the list. I t does free it up sometimes. And yes, it is the major US media sites that do this, which I think are trying to see what your browser is doing, and put tracking cookies in it. I have Better Privacy also in my FF.

“I use ‘Chrome’.” That is GOOGLE chrome, and I have not been in favor of GOOGLE, from the onstart, since they survived ONLY because of federal money, for the longest (pre-Obama) time.

Opera, I have used on and off since I had an XP machine, and now a Win7 machine. Not a browser that I am willing to commit to full-time.

Ever since IE changed, after version 6, it’s been fishwrap.

I just had a thought, I can use IE for shopping and banking, I never have a problem, and if I can armor Firefox to work on media websites, the Firefox extensions won't run when Firefox is closed, and won't interfere with IE.

Just run one or the other at one time.

Go Navy!
