If you thought the Shutdown Follies couldnt get any more absurd and spiteful, you were quite mistaken.
It was announced today that an annual sandcastle contest on San Franciscos Ocean Beach has been cancelled out of sheer malice by the Obama administration, despite the fact that the beach on which it is held part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area normally has no lifeguards, no rangers, is permanently open to the public, and requires no funds for day-to-day operations:

What some people are missing is that the MSM is portraying this as a Republican shutdown thereby absolving Obama and the Dems.

I’m not holding my breath that any individual snooty owner would let the little people’s kids step on their precious beach, much less actually move the SAND around. But isn’t there a hotel that will step up and actually do something nice?
Bus ‘em to the Mojave or Anza-Borrego. Lots of sand to play in.
I’ve never seen an LEO from any government at Ocean Beach.
Why does this administration hate children?
There are no other large sand beaches in SF County.
