While I have not been in America for almost ten years, I do watch American TV via my G-sat. My most popular channel is the History Channel. What shocks and amazes me is that most all of the women on all of the programs are slathered with Tattoos. Is this a new phenomena in America? Have women degraded themselves to such an extent? Some may think it cool. I think it is disgusting.
Seems that most of the tattooed women are trying to distract you from seeing they are fat and ugly.
Sort of like the Hippy era nude beaches, the ones baring all were the ones who most needed to cover it up.
It is kinda funny that in general “real” hookers don’t get tattoos.....
That clown's gotta take longer to self-decorate in the morning than Dog the Bounty Hunter.
Those gauge discs in the ear lobes appear to disfigure the individual to the point that reconstructive surgery would be required.
I somehow managed to get through a tour in the Marine Corps without any tattoos. Had a Drill Instructor who had both arms completely covered. He was a badass.
I looked at the passage in Revelations about the “mark of the beast”, that someday everyone would wear it on their foreheads to be able to buy or sell. I used to laugh. “Who would be stupid enough to fall for that?”, I’d wonder.
I don’t wonder any more. All these tatted-up morons would gladly have this mark placed on their foreheads (probably soon to have a microchip embedded that reveals all your financial data so the cashier of the future scans the store item then scans YOU to complete the purchase) all government mandated by ObamaCare and similar “free” health care programs throughout the world.
The technology is all here for this to take place. All it needs is a powerful enough central government and an easily-duped public to make it all happen. The world’s tyrants are working on this. Just give them time.
I wouldn’t mind tattooed tiger stripes from head to toe, as long as it’s free. Might be interesting.
Im not turned on by inked-up women.
OK. Suppose she’s got ink, prostetic spikes in her cheeks (both sets), multiple facial piercings, multiple body piercings, prostetic horns in her skull, sides of her head shaved, fanged dental appliances and snake eye contacts?
We are living in the movie “Ideocracy”.
It’s hard to find a person, male or female, under age 40 who does not have at least one tattoo. One of my coworkers told me that in her high school (Southern California) you HAD to get tattoos; you were considered a hopeless dork if you didn’t have any. So apparently kids under 18 are getting them. I agree with you that it is disgusting. So often I’ll see a really beautiful young person, then they turn a certain way and there is all that ink, often ugly, swirling dragon designs and such. It ruins their beauty. It’s like taking a Magic Marker to the Mona Lisa, in my opinion.
And it seems to me, if a young person wants to be a daring rebel, the thing to do now would be NOT to have a tattoo. Originally tattoos probably were intended to show rebellion. But now, the tattooed seem to consider themselves victims, whining when others stare at them or fail to praise their tattoos. Since victims are the ultimate heroes nowadays, my theory is that people are getting tattoos because they want to be victims.
One of the few times I've agreed with Bill O'Reilly was when he went on a rant about getting tattoos on one's neck.
I have a very talented daughter who is a tattoo artist. We live in Jersey, she moved and practiced in California. Figuring it would be years until she got home, I in a momentary fit of insanity promised her if she ever got home, she could give me a tat
Six months later, I had a very beautiful tattoo of my late, great, Bassett hound Sam on my arm. A dad has to keep his word.
For years the Air Force policy was nothing above the collar (no neck, face or head tats) and no more than 25% coverage on any visible part (forearms in short sleeves or calves when in PT shorts). Some guys who had been in for awhile who had shirt sleeve tats whould where a stretchy kind of spandex cover on their arm and it seemed acceptable.
It’s the same in Canada.
It’s absolutely horrible looking. They make the ladies look rough and dirty. I can’t believe the number of women in their 40s and 50s who get them - old enough to know better. What a bunch of silly sheep we have become.
I wouldnt mind tattooed tiger stripes from head to toe, as long as its free. Might be interesting.
I want to get a full body tat of me, only a little taller.
