Maybe you are independently weathly and can afford not to get paid, but the majority of us aren’t so fortunate.
What’s unfortunate is that our President holds our military hostage FIRST, instead of LAST like a traditional American president would. THAT’S what’s unfortunate, kind of like ending public tours of the White House but having Hollywood celebrity parties inside.

Which has been happening in the private sector for YEARS and is only ramping up faster with Obamacare! You better hope the government shuts down for a few days so that we can get rid of Obamacare. If we don’t, then the private sector will be devastated and unable to fund the public sector.

When you take OPM as the source of your income then you get everything that goes with it.
We got a LOT of posts of the same sort when Sequestration kicked in.
The Government is TOO F’ING BIG! There will be MANY talented people who will be given their walking papers when Cruz takes over and makes the Govt. live within its means (as this will do).
If it can afford to do without your services perhaps you should shop your talents to someone who actually needs them.
I am not going to go into debt to keep you or anyone else who isn’t doing the minimum essential services employed.
If the money runs out and you are cut loose by definition you were extraneous/superfluous to begin with.
