"For those who do not know, Harley Earl is the designer of the original Corvette. His design work,...began as a secret project... Well, Mr. Earl, obviously, was given a 1963 Corvette Sting Ray by GM and has kept it for himself for all of these years. Until this weekend when it was auctioned off to the highest bidder....The Corvette that used to belong to Harley Earl is metallic blue with custom blue leather seats and white trim. It has a stainless steel side-exit exhaust, knock off wheels, stainless steel door and foot well inserts, and special unique gauges including altimeter, accelerometer, inside/outside temp, and vacuum pressure. This hand-built, one-of-a-kind Corvette was auctioned off to ProTeam Corvette...."

A competent fabricator could probably swap in the transfer case, front differential, and front suspension from a Cadillac SRX with AWD (I happen to own one).
Not trivial but possible.
I’d also hope that the Vette was capable of greater than 0.7 decels (and accels in the lower gears).
Trailer Queen for sure, now. Not too bad of a deal. Slightly over a million for a priceless piece of automotive history.
American Folk Art at it's best.
jeez, that makes the bidders at the Lambrecht auction in Nebraksa look like a bunch of pikers!
Ridiculous! What American would want to buy a car without Bluetooth connectivity, 10% Ethanol fuel pump degradation, and Hybrid HOV Battery PC Nimbus approval?
You guys are neglecting the best feature, A/C vent under the steering column. Ahhhhhhhh!!
"I'll give ya $12,500 for it, and I probably shouldn't even do that. The market is tough right now, and that thing is gonna sit for awhile, tying up my money."
You can send the air between the door and the seat.
Yes, the old "crotch cooler".
When A/C was yet to be fully integrated into the design.
I don’t like those guys Pawn Star guys either.
You could bring in the Shroud of Turin and he would say, It’s not really worth much without it being autographed , best I can do in its present condition is $200.”
Zero is at the top, so I’m guessing gravity just pulls the needle down to one side or the other when the car isn’t on.
Perhaps it’s electrically operated and won’t zero with the car off.. looks pretty useless to me ,, the only usable part of the range being from -1 to 1 ,, this isn’t a F86 .
I tend to enjoy watching them, even though there are times when they can be a bit ruthless in low-balling people. Of course, no one is holding a gun to the seller’s head forcing them to take a deal, and there are many many other shops I’m sure - along with auction houses in Las Vegas.

Antique car buyers mingled with history buffs and ordinary folks who just wanted to show their kids the cars of days gone by at the weekend sale of some 500 vehicles owned by the late Ray Lambrecht, who was the local Chevrolet dealer for 50 years.
Until his retirement in 1996, Lambrecht stored any unsold new vehicles in a shed, outbuildings, and behind a grove of trees outside of town.
“50s tho some of them were a bit underpowered.”
I ran a 57 in SCCA in 57 and won every race we entered and were clocked 154 in the back straight at Riverside.
It also went 108 in the quarter.
Under powwered your ass!!!
Not impressed. If you want to see the real genius of Harvey Earl design, google “y-job”.
Shazzam!!!! When Chevy meant America. That is my dreamcar. Or the ‘57 Chevy. Or the Pony GTO. Or........what I wouldn’t give to see America again.
