So two Irish guys finish on top in the Boston mayor’s race, and all of sudden, the Beautiful People are donning sackcloth and ashes.So much for celebrating diversity.Apparently it doesn’t matter what their politics are, all that matters is that they’re from the same “tribe.”
You read that right — that’s what the Globe said the day after the election, that Marty Walsh and John Connolly are from the same “ethnic tribe.”Somewhere, the leaders of the old Know-Nothing party are snickering. The more things change ...Then yesterday, it was more of the same. The Rev. Eugene Rivers ended his front-page piece in this newspaper by bemoaning the fact that “a white Irish man will again lead the city of Boston.”
Subsitute “Muslim” for “white Irish” — think that would have been printed?

From what I read, a black man named Wyatt called himself a conservative and pro-life. What a wonderful message the liberals of Boston could sent by electing such a conservative to office. But liberals do not want to show that type of acceptance. And if you want to see a liberal turn red, after they discuss women and minority issues/candidates, mention West/Palin in 2016. Works every time.

“Diversity” just means anti-White.
Believe it or not,their is some diversity in this race.
Although both are Irish Democrats,Walsh has the backing of all the major unions,while Connolly campaigned on raising the number of charter schools and no union backing at all.

That fits me as well. I have multiple lines of Protestant Scots Irish ancestors going back to the Colonial era. Some left for the colonies when Cromwell stole their lands.
