UNION CITY, Ga. —

Police said a customer at a Union City Waffle House shot a man allegedly trying to rob the restaurant Monday.

Chad Pollard told Channel 2’s Erica Byfield he didn’t have a choice and he had to act.

“When the gun was in my face I just thought I was going to die right then and there,” Pollard said.
