When I bought a laptop and desktop that had Win7, one of the things I didn't like was the Win7 card games.
With a few tweaks, I managed to get the XP Spider, XP Freecell, XP Hearts and XP Solitaire to work on Win7.
I had a similar problem loading an old version of MS Frontpage. I wanted it just for the frontpage editor. Win7 would not accept an 'install', so I copied the FP directory and a some dll's and got it to run on Win7.
The old MS Publisher 98 will run on Win7, but the templates won't work. I don't want to buy the latest 'Office' because I don't use it enough to justify the cost.

I like the Intel I5 processor, but so many laptops have AMD. Does AMD have a processor that is on par with the I5??

A friend of mine has an older copy of ms office. He was having difficulty openning .docx files (req newer msoffice) Installed libre office (free) and now he opens docx and excel xlsx files. You can also open these files in online office (free).
