John Devaney of Narragansett, R.I., claims loud church bells ruined his marriage.

Some people should have a big ‘S’ stamped on their forehead (for STUPID) so you know to stay away from them.

“700 times a week?”
There’s only 168 hours in a week. Methinks he got his math wrong.

I hear Mohammed had people shout from minarets because he didn’t like bells.
If this problem started before Francis succeeded Benedict XVI, this guy is suing the wrong pope.

A Rhode Island man has filed a federal lawsuit against Pope Francis and others, claiming the frequent bell-ringing of the Catholic church across the street has disrupted his life so much, it helped precipitate the demise of his marriage. As my dad used to say, "hell's bells!"

So these bells go off 4 times an hour for 24 hours 7 days a week?
Maybe he just has a ringing sound in his ears.

Perhaps they could move a mosque in next door and he could listen to the call to prayer all day long. He could complain about that and they could burn his house down with him in it.

He must be counting each individual peal or bong of the bells, rather than instances.

He probably has tinnitus and the bells follow him around.
